1 Hour drive from Limoges Airport, (approx. 30 mins from La Souterraine Train Station) to
Les Hirondelles, where you will be allocated your room and have time to unpack.
Afternoon Tea/Welcome Meeting.
Equipment set up, where we adjust your bikes, helmets and bouyancy aids.
Free time, where you can take a map and walk around the beautiful local countryside until
7 pm - Bienvenue BBQ where you will meet the other members of your group.

Day 2 – Gouzon to Etang de Landes Bike Ride
Breakfast from 8am
Starting from the pretty town of Gouzon, we cycle out into the countryside on rarely used back roads for about 15 mins, where we then go off road firstly onto gravel tracks and then onto dirt tracks, which lead eventually to the beautiful Etang de Landes which is a
nature reserve sustaining loads of birds and other wildlife. A muddy track leads around the lake, stopping at conveniently placed hides where you can get up close to the wildlife. After a gentle ride back to Gouzon enjoy a coffee at Le Sully café bar.
Enjoy a Home Cooked Evening Meal at Les Hirondelles

Day 3 - Les Trois Lacs - Canoe Trip
Breakfast from 8am
A short drive to Anzeme where we launch the canoes and give you a short familiarisation session, just off the beach, where we will teach you the basic paddle strokes to ensure you go in a straight line! Once everyone is comfortable, we will head off up-river for a leisurely paddle past the "Moulin Noye" (sunken mill), to Glenic (water levels permitting) and back for a picnic lunch on the beach at Anzeme. There are safe swimming areas here, coffee shop, laze on the beach and top up your tan, play volleyball or learn some more paddle strokes.
Return to Les Hirondelles for evening meal.

Day 4 – Le Moutier d’Ahun Bike Ride
Breakfast from 8am
Starting in the roman town of Moutier d’Ahun, we leave the car park and are off road almost immediately, to travel alongside the river for most of this ride, past a tiny chateau we work our way sometimes on road sometimes off, the distance we do on this ride depends on the fitness of the group, but we always aim to be back at Moutier in time for a lovely lunch at Le Marais, a small restaurant which serves an excellent plat de jour for only 11 Euros. After spending some time walking off our meal in the town or beside the river, the group decides whether we go on another short ride from here.
Return to base for Evening meal.

Day 5 – Ajain Bike Ride
Breakfast from 8am
A short drive away from base is a little more challenging mostly off road ride. Heading off between the lake and the ancient church in Ajain, we are immediately off road on gravel paths and dirt tracks, we wind our way cross country, through shady woods and over a few more hills today. Packed Lunch en route.  Several hours later we return to Ajain for a welcome coffee or cold beer at the local café. Some guests have chosen to ride back to base from here (about 8 miles).
Evening meal at Les Hirondelles

Day 6 – Boussac
Breakfast from 8am
We aim to drop you off in the market town of Boussac by 10am, where the town is taken over by the weekly market, buy locally produced cheeses and other goods, the chateau is well worth a visit, there are regular guided tours.
Lunch is up to you, there are plenty of cafes to choose from where you can practise your French!
After lunch we pick you up at about 2.30 and head up to Les Pierres Jaumatres, where there are ancient rock formations and stunning
views. There is also a ropes course for the more adventurous among you (cost 13 Euros per person for about 2 hours), there is also a very pleasant coffee shop with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside.
This evening we drop you at a local restaurant/auberge for an evening meal (prices normally start at about 20 Euros per head)

Day 7 Canoe Trip - Lac d'Egouzon - Our favourite river trip
8am - Breakfast
9.15am - Leave for Egouzon, about an hours drive through lovely countryside, look out for deer, buzzards and other wildlife on route.
We head off upriver towards Crozant, keep your camera at the ready to capture the stunning scenery and a ruined castle, also abundant wildlife along the cliffs and banks of the river. Look out for the amazing sight of schools of catfish swimming close to the surface. If you are really lucky you may catch a glimpse of a kingfisher looking for an easy meal. Along the way we will stop for a picnic lunch. We then turn around and head back down river to Eguzon, if there is time we can go to the beach where there are swimming areas and a café.
